 When The Karate Kid was released in 1984, it not only kickstarted a film franchise that gave us the adventures of Daniel Larusso and the wisdom of Pat Morita as Mr. Miyagi, it created a martial arts phenomenon that swept the nation (and a leg or two along the way). Three official sequels to The Karate Kid were produced between 1986 and 1994 with The Next Karate Kid trading Ralph Macchio for Hillary Swank to diminishing returns. The critically acclaimed web series, Cobra Kai recently gave us a glimpse of the world of The Karate Kid in the 21^st century, but what if we had gotten a 4^th theatrical film in the 90s?
